| Despite a many years lasting extraction, Germany has still large and valuable natural resources. They range from energy commodities via "sand and gravel" - these are especially mineral raw construction materials - up to the industrial minerals and ores. The Map of Mineral Resources of Germany 1: 1 000 000 (BSK 1000) provides basic information about the spatial distribution of these commodities all over the country. The mineral resources are summarized in commodity groups, represented as different colored units. | |
